Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your Solvotor account and everything attached to it at any time. There are two ways.
Option 1 — From the app (recommended, immediate)
- Open Solvotor.
- Open the Profile tab in the bottom menu and tap the Settings button at the top right.
- Scroll to DELETE ACCOUNT at the bottom of the page.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
The account is removed from the server the moment you confirm, and the app returns to the welcome screen. There is no waiting period beyond that confirmation.
Option 2 — If you have already uninstalled the app
Email mkcecen@hotmail.com with the subject “Account deletion request” and include one of the following so we can find the account:
- your username in the game, or
- the email address you linked, if you linked Google or Apple (sending the request from that address is fastest).
We delete the account and write back within 30 days of receiving the request. If we cannot verify that the account is yours, we will not delete it — this is what stops someone else from deleting your account.
Using a guest account? If you never linked it, the username is the only thing we can find you by. If you do not remember it, reinstall the app and use Option 1 instead — a reinstall cannot reach the old guest account, so that record simply stays behind as an unused anonymous entry.
What gets deleted
- Your authentication record (including the linked email address and provider id, if any)
- Your profile: username, country, language, device identifier
- All of your scores and solve times
- Your badges
- Your friends, sent and received friend requests, and invite codes
- Your daily hint allowance
All of it goes in a single cascading operation and cannot be restored.
What is not deleted
- Daily aggregates: numeric totals kept to render leaderboards quickly (for example “this many puzzles were solved in this country today”). They are not linked to anyone and do not identify you.
- Backups: copies in database backups roll off within 30 days.
- Advertising data: records tied to your advertising id live with Google AdMob, not with us. You can reset it in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- On-device data: uninstalling the app also removes the progress and preferences stored on your phone.
